Average sushi pretty good Thai food. Pad Thai is pretty good. I suggest extra spicy on the Thai food.

Sushi is ok but far from great. The place is so cold it's like eating in the snow outside. Service is slow. Not going there again ...

As a visitor to Auburn Hills I was recently terribly disappointed by a local Thai restaurant, and I was hesitant to sample the local sushi. I'm glad to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the sushi exceeded my expectations. I tried the spicy tuna roll, the softshell crab, unagi, and yellow fin and enjoyed them all thoroughly. Next time I am in the area I will be sure to visit Tokyo Sushi again.

Wow I really don't know how to describe how terrible this place is. My girlfriend and I ordered sushi and some thai food. First off, we waited over 20 minutes for 2 rolls of sushi and shortly after our Thai entrees arrived. What really struck me first was how salty the wasabi was, I didn't even have to soy sauce... While the sushi wasn't terrible and may have actually have been decent for what you can get in Michigan, the entrees were even worse. Even though the restaurant was pretty much empty, I'm pretty sure the cook was trying to speed things along. He used undercooked sushi rice for the red curry, I mean, seriously. Totally ruined the not terrible curry. My girlfriend had pad siew. We didn't even see the noodles at first because it and the rest of the dish were drowned in this heavy, black, ultra-saulty sauce. Total waste of money and time when there are so many other great places in the area to eat at.

Good thing I didn't read the other review before I pulled in here. We had a totally different experience. We were the only ones eating in the dining room at 5:20 on a Wednesday evening. We ordered all sushi: tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, spicy salmon and two scallop hand rolls. Miso soup came with it. As far as detroit area sushi goes, this is almost as good as it gets. I order the same sushi everywhere so I'm only comparing the fish, not all the specialty rolls and such. The spicy selections had just the right amount of kick. A previous reviewer found the wasabi salty. It must've been a really off day. In general, all sushi restaurants in the metro detroit area are using the same restaurant grade wasabi. It's horseradish mixture that comes already prepared.

This is really two reviews - one for the food, another for the service. The food - four stars. My tofu and avocado roll was quite good (nice flavoring on the tofu, sushi rice, killer wasabi). The buckwheat noodle and tempura soup also struck the right note (warming, nice breading on the tempura). The service - two stars. They pretty much forgot my noodle and tempura dish until we reminded them. They also brought out meals for others in my party one at a time (separated by several minutes). They may have been understaffed but it just felt wrong. Still, the food was good enough so that I will return and hope that the service improves.
